Let's go, Tiger Readers! If your child has already earned their Tiger Reader shirt, we would love to see them wear their shirt this week! Our Tigers are reading books they like, recording the books they've read, turning in the form weekly, and earning amazing prizes, such as books, a skating party, and a T-shirt! 🐅❤️📚 Keep reading, Tigers! #ReadOn!

Our students were engaged in collaborative efforts, showcasing their knowledge, working hard, problem-solving, discussing novels and vocabulary, and having fun!

Happy Holidays! ☃️ We've enjoyed an outstanding week with our Tigers and it's only Thursday! 😀

ATTENDANCE TIP TUESDAY: Set your alarm clocks 30 minutes earlier for students who need more time to get ready before school. Good attendance starts at an early age. This helps them develop a positive view of school and the importance of attendance. That's why Alexandria Schools has been placing a renewed emphasis on the importance of attendance. For the next several weeks, we will bring you attendance tips on Tuesdays in which school is in session. We look forward to sharing more helpful tips with our families! #Class.First.First.Class.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
On December 19th at 6:30 in the AMES gym, we will be having a festive music program with our kindergarten and 1st grade students. Students have already learned the material in music class. Doors will open at 6:10, entering through the gym doors by the office.
Please have students wear festive colors (red, green, and/or white). Once students arrive, they will sit with their class until it is their turn to perform. Kindergarten will perform first, and 1st grade will perform second. We do ask that all families stay for the entire performance for both grades, both to show respect for other families and performers, and to allow students enjoy seeing others perform! Kindergarteners will remain with their class after performing. Parents can come meet their students after both groups have finished performing and have safely left the risers.
I am SO proud of all of our students as they have worked on this material. They have been doing an amazing job in music! 🎶 Mrs. L, AMES Music Teacher
